US National Security Adviser John Bolton stated that the US withdrawal from northern Syrian will occur when “ISIS is defeated and is not able to revive itself,” speaking during a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem on Sunday.

He also emphasised that the withdrawal would only take place once the US was sure the “defence of Israel and our other friends in the region is absolutely assured.”

John Bolton hailed “the best US-Israel relationship in our history” and repeated the commitment of his administration to support Israel and monitor Iran’s potential nuclear capabilities.

The Israeli prime minister for his part thanked the Trump administration for its support regarding Israel’s objection to the Iranian nuclear deal and Israel’s “right to defend itself.”

Bolton is in the region to visit both Israel and Turkey.

The US Empire’s politics know no friends – just allies, servants and mercenaries. Too bad – if You are neither.

p.s. And if You are not useful anymore You are stabbed in the back and delivered to Your enemies.

So Bolton’s words do not surprise at all. He is a US nationalist war hawk.

Exactly! Believe me at the moment Angela Merkel is kicked out and someone who desires Germany to be from now on an Independent Nation and remove the US occupation, you will quickly become a big enemy to USA. They don’t allow independent countries, only puppets (in government of course)…

@USR, Germany is not occupied any more. There was a sort of peace treaty at the desolation of the DDR.

p.s. I would not count Merkel as a big Anglophiliac servant. The US already threaten Germany with sanctions if Germany doesn’t desist to cooperate in building North Stream II to import Russian gas instead of US gas. The current US government and investors also want to dissolve the EU and the Euro zone.

Guess why? IMHO Easier for US state and investors to play with small individual countries and currencies.

BTW: Merkel is staunchly pro EU.

There’s a logic in your words. However, I believe Merkel (and Macron) are more against Trump, not against USA.

@USR, the two are pro EU. So they are against any US government that is against the EU. And IMHO the mainstream US sees other democratic countries like the states of Europe and Russia as a danger to the almighty Imperial power.

Bolton specifically also said SDF fighters must be safe from attack. Outside attack.

Karel, I can argue with you a lot but please stop thinking USA worries so much about Kurdish people. USA uses Kurds. Kurds are just tools in the American hands. As soon as that tool is used and no more in use Kurds will be thrown away in the ditch…

@USR, Karel just said the official US says that the Kurds must be safe.

I do not have trust in the US in this either but Karel is absolutely right: They said it.

p.s. It is their US mainstream maritime doctrine of strategic thinking that sees allies as expendables that can be dropped after use. But not all Yanks do think so.

It seems Boldon’s words are more respected than Trump’s words. Yesterday US Rear-Admiral Kevin Sweeney just got fired by Trump (a couple of weeks before that US Defense Minister Mattis was fired for not following Trump’s orders). I wonder who is next…

@USR, let me guess: Trump will be impeached if he goes contra Israel.

I’m not sure if you really guessed, or you’re reading American medias but a few days ago the Democratic party in USA said that they are preparing impeachment of Trump. Funny fact is impeachment takes about 2 years – exactly when his mandate ends. So, their goal would be simply Trump to not be able to be a qualifying candidate for the next 2020 president election…

@USR, I only read financial news like Bloomberg.

It did not appear in the sections I read.
