BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:00 A.M.) – The U.S. State Department revealed on Monday the details of the recent phone conversation between Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

According to the State Department’s press release, the ongoing situation in Syria was one of the main topics of discussion between the two diplomats.

“The two discussed issues and concerns related to Syria and the bilateral relationship. Secretary Pompeo reemphasized the US commitment to the southwest ceasefire arrangement that was approved by President Trump and President Putin one year ago,” the press release stated.

“He [Pompeo] noted that it was critical for Russia and the Syrian regime to adhere to these arrangements and ensure no unilateral activity in this area,” it continued.

The Syrian military is preparing to launch a large-scale offensive in southwest Syria that is geared to retake the territory currently under the control of the rebel forces.

Washington has been clear about their stance regarding this government offensive; they have repeatedly warned Damascus that they will take action if they go through with this attack.

Will be interesting to see who the Russians support in this matter… The Syrian army or Pompeo? I suspect the latter.

If I recall at the time, the US unilaterally declared the Daara zone to be a Ceasefire Zone and that Russia and Syria opposed this as it is none of the US’s business to be involved in Syria.

It all boils down to Putin’s back stabbing of Syria. THERE WILL BE NO DARAA OFFENSIVE. DARAA HAS BEEN ILLEGALLY HANDED OVER TO THE US/ZIONIST TYRANNY BY RUSSIA LIKE 80% OF SYRIA’S RESOURCE RICH EASTERN EUPHRATES REGION.
