US Senator Lindsey Graham vowed to push for the US recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, as he toured the Golan Heights alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman on Monday.

Graham said, “I will go back to the United States Senate. Working with Senator Cruz, I will start an effort to recognise the Golan as part of the State of Israel now and forever.” He went on to say that withdrawing from the territory would be “a strategic nightmare” for Israel.

In turn, Netanyahu thanked Graham for his “unbelievable support,” calling him and Friedman “two of the greatest friends of Israel.”

He then stressed that the Golan Heights “must stay part of Israel forever,” adding that “it’s very important that the international community recognise this fact and accept it, and most especially our great friend, the United States of America.”

Golan being part of Israel saved it from the destruction, killings, looting and fighting, ethnic cleansing and mass displacement suffered by Syria.

Truly, the Druse of the Golan have much to be grateful for.

Peace, health and prosperity is their share.

So, will Mikdad start his war on Israel and fulfil Isaïe’s prophecy which says that Damascus will be razed and never to be rebuilt? It’d be really sad : Damascus is one of the very oldest cities on Earth. What a loss would it be!

This publication is IMHO part of the push aimed at annexation of the Golan. Graham argues: that withdrawing from the territory would be “a strategic nightmare” for Israel.

Compare: https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/syria-is-ready-for-war-with-israel-over-golan-heights-region-mikdad/ taken from Israel’s https://worldisraelnews.com/syria-threatens-to-attack-israel-unless-it-withdraws-from-the-golan/

World Israel News Staff: Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad reportedly warned Kristin Lund, head of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO), that “Syria will attack Israel if it does not leave the Golan Heights.”

p.s. Mikdad should be shot for treason by helping enemy war propaganda – if he said anything like reported by the Israeli news.
