US Dept. of State questions Saudi Arabia motivations over the embargo on Qatar

Spokesperson for the United States Department of State Heather Nauert addressed the Saudi Arabia embargo on Qatar at the daily press conference in Washington DC, Tuesday.

According to Nauert, “the more time goes by, the more doubt is raised about the actions taken by Saudi Arabia” and she wondered if “were the actions really about their concerns regarding Qatar’s alleged support for terrorism, or were they about the long simmering grievances” in the Gulf region.

Earlier this month, US President Donald Trump voiced his backing for Saudi Arabia and other Arab Gulf states’ blockade on Qatar.

Seriously, the actions of many Qatari institutions, especially Qatar-Charity, are an open secret for ‘just’ 24 years! Emir is openly a M-Brotherhood serious figure if not one of their main leaders, they fund salafascist mosques everywhere and put radical preachers, many of MBs actively recruited for jihad. If US DoS want serious intelligence, they can call French DGSE or DGSI : we just have MILLIONS of files about many nice people in Qatar! With only about 330k ‘citizens’, even if the emir is not personally implied by security measure, it’s TOTALLY impossible to the state to ignore such activities. Moreover,… Read more »
