Aleppo, Syria ( 11:00 A.M.) – A senior U.S. official told Reuters News Agency on Wednesday morning that the U.S. Air Force will provide air cover to the Turkish Special Forces and Free Syrian Army (FSA) during “Operation Euphrates Shield.”

This announcement comes just hours after the Free Syrian Army and Turkish Special Forces launched their offensive to capture the border-city of Jarabulus in northeastern Aleppo.

According to preliminary reports from the Jarabulus countryside, the Turkish Special Forces and Free Syrian Army have already crossed the Euphrates River; however, they have yet to attack the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) terrorists protecting the area.

Turkish forces are expected push as far as 70 km into Syrian territory, clearing both Mar’e and Jarabulus from the Islamic State terrorists.

Us providing air cover for the Turks and FSA? This smells like rotten Kabab.

The Russians were informed by the Turks about the operation. My guess is that the statement about US providing aircover is a US disinfo campign to try to split Turkey from Russia/Syria.

mvm199 .

USA supporting both turkey and kurd fronts at the same time …. w*f???? Syria is a TOTAL clusterfuck.

Not to mention the explicit invasion of sovereign syria by both US and turkey in the same week.

This does not bode well, WW3 is coming. Remember WW2 was an isolated incident between Germany and Czech rep / Poland at first and it quickly blew up.

No good.

They were kicked out Vietnam by US public opinion, NEVER by China or Vietcong, in fact, it’s even the US that created Vietcong to oust the French who, BTW, went out for the same reason as the US : their own public opinion had enough of this s**t!
300 US advisors in Syria, WOW, what an invasion! And they’re even acting totally in the interest of Russia as Russia wants to kill the terrorists! For once the US are here on the good side, why complaining? Although they should bomb ErDOG puppets too…
