The US is preparing new sanctions against Iran, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said.

“Preparation (for the imposition of sanctions) is in full swing,” Pompeo said, speaking at a hearing at the Senate International Committee.

He expressed hope that the sanctions will be supported by the UN and other countries.

US President Donald Trump earlier announced withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan with Iran on Tehran’s nuclear program. Trump also said that the sanctions suspended under the SVPD will be reintroduced.

There is no chance that UNSC will support US sanctions.

p.s. The rest of UN does not matter even if Gulf’ and US shills buy votes in the general assembly.

SD, Iran’s main export is Oil. It exports close to US$48.7 Billion.

China is the largest importer followed by Japan, India, European Union, Italy n Spain. Cutting off the Oil supply is gonna hurt Iran very badly. US might want to arm twist Iran to accept its terms on the Nuclear Deal. US can arm twist EU, Italy Spain & Japan but whether it will be successful may be not. All these countries need Oil badly and the cost of crude oil is also increasing Saoudi Arabia wants to push it up to USD 100 per barrel.
