BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:45 A.M.) – The U.S. military has established a new base for its forces in the Al-Yaroubiyah area of Al-Hasakah, as they attempt to increase their presence in the Al-Jazeera region of Syria.
According to local sources in the Al-Hasakah countryside, the U.S. military has set up a new airport to reinforce its presence in northeast Syria.
The airport is reportedly in the area between the village of Umm Kahif and the grain silos of Tel Alo, which are 8 km south of Al-Yaroubiyah.
The sources said military and logistical equipment were brought to the new installation, which now has newly erected concrete barriers and barracks for the U.S. forces there.
In a related context, civil sources told a SANA reporter that a U.S. military convoy consisting of ten trucks loaded with military and logistical equipment, accompanied by eight military vehicles, traveled to the Tel Baidar base in the northern Hasaka countryside, indicating that the convoy was coming from Qamishli in order to reinforce and increase the fortifications within the base.
Lastly, the U.S. military forces introduced in the past few months, thousands of trucks loaded with weapons and military equipment and logistics to the Al-Hasakah countryside to strengthen its presence in the Syria’s Al-Jazeera region.
