BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:00 P.M.) – The U.S. Coalition carried out several raids on Saturday evening that targeted an Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) sleeper cell in the eastern region of the Euphrates River Valley, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported this morning.

According to the SOHR report, the U.S. military personnel raided the village of Takihi last night, where they targeted a house belonging to a suspected Islamic State sleeper cell.

During the raid, the U.S. military came under heavy gunfire from the suspected Islamic State fighters inside the home.

Eventually, the U.S. military was able to overwhelm them, killing five suspects, including one woman.

The U.S. military also arrested eight of the suspects, who mostly of Iraqi and Syrian descent.

The U.S. also carried out a special mission that required them to conduct an aerial landing inside Raqqa city last night.

According to the SOHR report, the U.S. military landed in the northern part of the Al-Badu neighborhood.

Once they landed there, the U.S. military arrested three arms dealers along Seif Al-Dawla Street.

The three arms dealers were accused of selling weapons and supplies to the Islamic State inside of Raqqa.

Whatever this is a pack of lies. First US in Syria illegally and has no business arresting anyone. period. Second due to US Sanctions and the ungodly amount of weapons Israel and turks smuggled into Syria I would say there will be arms dealing. Third, these cells are likely anti YPG/PKK locals. All foreign terrorists are residing in Idlib. Let the Syrians and Iraqi forces track down their own. Reports of PKK smuggling US weapons into Iranian border areas. Fake war on terror. Scam.
