BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:20 P.M.) – A U.S. military official said that the American military had an early warning about the attack by Iran on two military bases.
“The warning was early enough to activate the warning sirens and keep the elements away from harm and go into the underground fortified rooms,” Iraq’s Alsumaria TV report.
Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, on Wednesday described the missile attack on U.S.’ positions in Iraq as “successful”, stressing that “Iran is facing a broad front and victory will be its ally.”
The Iraqi security forces said that military sites in the country were hit with 22 rockets, 17 of which targeted the ‘Ayn Al-Assad Airbase, two of which did not explode.
The Iraqi security forces confirmed that there were no deaths among the Iraqi military forces as a result of the missile strikes that targeted the headquarters of the international coalition at night.
On Wednesday, the U.S. also confirmed that their forces suffered no casualties.
