ARA News has reported that the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) posted tweets on its official Twitter account showing military training for Syrian Arab fighters in Manbij, the same day US top commander Joseph Votel visited Kobani and Raqqa frontlines.

The training announcements comes on the back of Turkish-backed militants confirming that would try capture Manbij after the al-Bab operations from the Syrian Democratic Forces, who comprise mostly of the Kurdish YPG militia.

“More faces, soon to face ISIS, at training center in N Syria today,” CENTCOM tweeted.

“Manbij Military Council members, today, where they reviewed recruit training in fight against ISIS,” CENTCOM tweeted.

CENTCOM then went onto reveal newly trained female fighters.

In speaking with ARA News on Wednesday, the US-led coalition revealed that their forces will continue to support the Manbij Military Council, despite the threats from their NATO ally, Turkey.

“While we will not discuss the precise locations of US Special Operations forces, US Special Forces do continue their advise, assist and accompany mission with the Syrian Democratic Forces across northern Syria,” Colonel Joseph Scrocca, U.S. Army, CJTF-OIR Public Affairs Director told ARA News.

“After Manbij’s liberation from ISIS’ oppression on Aug 13, 2016, US Special Forces continued to train, advise and assist Manbij Military Council forces with regular visits,” Colonel Joseph Scrocca said.

“The MMC provides security to Manbij as the local governance works to revitalize their city for its population. The Coalition will continue to work in close coordination with partner forces and allies to remain focused in delivering a lasting defeat to our common enemy, ISIS,” he concluded.

The terrorist group Ahrar al-Sham, who are a part of the Turkish-led Euphrates Shield, said they would go for Manbij two days ago, and this has also been reciprocated by Turkish President Erdogan.

    • I think that US militaries know about Erdolf manipulations since day one but also about Obongos’… It’s not the use in the US military to speak without Washington’s agreement. IMHO, the massae is to Erdolf and means ‘keep your dogs leashed’

      • You are probably right here the Colonel points at the presence of US troops at undisclosed locations and that is a red line that “means ‘keep your dogs leashed’.” I overlooked that point.

p.s. IMHO the US forces have a habit of reasoning in public when they do not like the official policy.
