DAMASCUS, SYRIA (0:05 A.M.) – Remarkably, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were caught red-handed lying about an evacuation deal reached with ISIS, allowing jihadist safe departure from the Tabqa pocket in return for not destroying vital infrastructure such as the Tabqa Dam.

Last week, Al-Masdar News reported that the SDF had given jihadist militants safe passage to exit Tabqa along a safe corridor to Raqqa city and the ISIS mainland, bringing with them their light weaponry.

However, hours later the SDF leadership denied the AMN report, stating it was fabricated. Today, the US military released a statement congratulating the SDF on the liberation of Tabqa city, but also confirming that a rare ISIS-SDF deal did indeed take place:

It is not known why the SDF command center decided to cover up the agreement. A similar last-minute deal was reportedly reached with ISIS over Manbij last year.

  1. No “cover up” whatsoever as last week there was no such “deal”. Are you implying that the 70 roach remnants should have blown up the dam instead at the last minute? Read the statement properly. Everything is properly explained.

  2. How is this exactly a lie? ISIS only surrendered on 10 May. A deal was tried earlier too but ISIS didn’t agree. But a week later, when it was clear that SDF will win, ISIS agreed to surrender instead of having more men killed.

  3. Dirty deals like those normally take days to reach and normally are covered.

I dont for sure. But the big difference was, that ISIS had 2000 hostages and it wasnt possible to get them by snípers or something.

I only remember Manbij in public well from the 100 ISIS people went out from there without detonating themselves and their hostages.

So far I see ISIS in Tabqa was hard digged down, but could be smoked out with hard methods and SDF lives as well.

  4. “Remarkably, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were caught red-handed lying… It is not known why the SDF command center decided to cover up the agreement” – it’s called OPSEC, which stands for “Operational Security”. Just because something is happening doesn’t mean the SDF needs to inform the Press.

  5. ” Kurdish forces made a deal with Islamic State ”

Made possible by the fact that both are hired mercenaries of NATO and the ethnocidal zionist apartheid regime. At this point NATO/zionist-trained Frankenstein monsters and pseudo “jihadists” are required to generate chaos in some other region, it would seem.

Well, to be fair, ISIS is entirely and purely an “Israeli”, American, French, British, Dutch & German creation, whereas the PKK isn’t by origin, although its Syrian branch got heavily infiltrated by those same imperial powers’s intelligence agencies. In fact, the PYD consists of different, geopolitically antagonistic factions, the NATO/zionist-controlled one having currently the upper hand (but that may change soon, let’s hope it does!).
