BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:25 A.M.) – The U.S. Coalition has sent reinforcements to the northern province of Al-Hasakah this weekend, local activists from the provincial capital reported.
According to the reports, the U.S. and their partners in the Anti-ISIS Coalition sent reinforcements to their military bases in the towns of Tal Tamer, Al-Houl, and Al-Shaddadi.
All three of these aforementioned towns were captured by the Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) during their large-scale campaign in the Al-Hasakah Governorate.
Al-Shaddadi was the location of the Islamic State’s (ISIS) headquarters in northeast Syria before they lost this strategic city.
