BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:00 P.M.) – On Sunday, June 21, the U.S. Coalition carried out powerful strikes targeting the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) terrorist group in the Salaheddine Governorate.
The Iraqi Security Media Cell said that the international coalition aircraft carried out airstrikes that led to the destruction of 8 tunnels used by ISIS within the Salaheddine Governorate.
This operation by the U.S.-led coalition comes after a month-long pause in strikes across Iraq.
It is noteworthy to mention that the coalition operations in Iraq have declined over the last year, which is largely due to the fact that the Islamic State has been forced to rely on sleeper cells.
