DAMASCUS, SYRIA (3:20 P.M.) – US-trained Syrian rebel fighters have reputedly repelled an attack launched by the Syrian Army near al-Tanf base in south-east Syria.

Revolutionary Commando Army (aka Maghawir al-Thawra), claimed they – supported by the US-coalition forces – have managed to foil the Syrian forces’ assault on the 55 km de-confliction zone around the Tanf base.

“We have used all personal weapons available as well aircrafts to foil this aggression. This was done by non-lethal means in order to demonstrate our abilities in defending the 55 km de-confliction zone”, a statement made by the rebel group said.

According to the same statement, no casualties or material damages occurred in the process.

Lotsa BS were spread in… Read more »

It cpould be because the Assads actually has taken some km road into the zone made by them.

Then support for regaining that terrain makes a lot of sense. Thats my oppinion not based on facts apart from maps and SAA positions.
