BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:05 P.M.) – The US-backed rebels from the Free Syrian Army (FSA) are in serious trouble in southern Syria, as the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their allies steadily advance along the Jordanian border.
Elements of the Syrian Arab Army’s 5th Corps led the way on Sunday, capturing a large amount of territory along the Damascus-Jordan border in southern Syria.
According to local journalists, the Syrian Arab Army and their allies captured border garrisons 173, 174, 175, and 176 after advancing eastward from the recently seized areas in southeast Damascus.
This latest advance by the Syrian Arab Army in southern Syria comes just shortly after rumors began to surface regarding the possible withdraw of US forces from the Tanf Military Base to an undisclosed location.
