BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:00 A.M.) – The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) managed to seize an imperative site inside the Euphrates River Valley this week.

Backed by French and American artillery, the SDF scored a big advance between the two towns of Baghouz and Albukamal in the Deir Ezzor countryside.

According to the SDF’s official media wing, their forces seized an imperative bridge in this area after a fierce battle with the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist organization on Tuesday evening.

Militants “launched an opposite attack this morning to recover the bridge, but our forces confronted them and killed them,” the SDF stated.

The bridge connects the town of Al Boukamal on the western side of the river with villages and farmlands on the eastern bank, about 7 kilometres upstream from the border with Iraq.

This is a Civilized Place for Public Discussion

Please treat this discussion with the same respect you would a public park. We, too, are a shared community resource — a place to share skills, knowledge and interests through ongoing conversation.

These are not hard and fast rules, merely guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.

Improve the Discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.

The topics discussed here matter to us, and we want you to act as if they matter to you, too. Be respectful of the topics and the people discussing them, even if you disagree with some of what is being said.

Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree

You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:

  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.

I see the connections of gangs and proxy armies bubbling to the top and in the public more so every day now. “Backed by French and American, the SDF” and lets include the Israeli and French as it very well appears to be an Israeli false flag attempt to get the Russians to fire on the (NATO) French frigate to activate Article 5’s clause of NATO’s defending member nations! Although President Erdogan and Russian President Putin stepped back from the brink of WWIII, Israel has tried to pull off what appears to be a false flag attempt by flying in… Read more »

Where do you see false-flags?
False flags are used when you need to justify starting a war without being provoked, e.g. Tonkin incident or to justify action to your public opinion.
USS liberty was a failed false flag.
USA has ZERO need for false flag, same for Israel: they have all the justifcation they need even for way harsher stuff…
Hellbollah presence alone is more than enough!!!!!
