DAMASCUS, SYRIA (5:10 P.M.) – At least 311 jihadi fighters from the Islamic State have been killed since the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) launched the 4th phase of the Euphrates Wrath Operation on April 13th against the terror group in the northern countryside of Raqqa.

Meanwhile, 30 SDF fighters have been killed during the same period.

The fourth phase was aimed to clear the remaining northern countryside and the valley of Jalab from the ISIS and to remove the last obstacles in front of SDF, to prepare for the liberation of the city of Al-Raqqa and the completion of the siege with encirclement of the ISIS gangs,” the SDF leadership said in an official statement on Monday.

In a related context, the SDF has called on the international community to help supporting the increasing numbers of the Internally Displaced People who recently fled the de-facto capital of Raqqa as the US-backed forces prepare the long-awaited battle to liberate the major ISIS stronghold.

Please treat this discussion with the same respect you would a public park. We, too, are a shared community resource — a place to share skills, knowledge and interests through ongoing conversation.

These are not hard and fast rules, merely guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.

Improve the Discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.

Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree

You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:

  • Name-calling
  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.
