The U.S. based publication “The Wall Street Journal” reported on Sunday that U.S. President Barack Obama has ordered 250 additional soldiers to be deployed to Syria in order to bolster the U.S. Army’s numbers inside the country.

The report claimed that the 250 additional soldiers will be deployed to Syria as part of a force that will oversee the implementation of a safe-zone in the northern countryside.

These soldiers will help maintain the Russian sponsored U.N. Resolution 2254 that called for a nationwide cessation of hostilities agreement among the opposing parties in this 5 year long conflict.

With the arrival of these 250 soldiers, the U.S. forces in Syria will increase to 300 total military personnel inside the country.

Given these forces were not invited nor there a UN resolution permitting it, this is an illegal invasion.

I don’t see any mention of a safe zone in the Wall Street Journal article Maybe I have the wrong one? Can you quote and /or link it? I think the premise of this article is false, which would be uncharacteristic of this web site. In fact, in the press conference Obama said he did *not* support the safe zone
