DAMASCUS, SYRIA (3:15 A.M.) – U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Samantha Power, accused several Syrian Arab Army (SAA) officers of ordering strikes against civilians in Syria.
US Ambassador Samantha Power says Syrian military commanders were involved in “killing and injuring civilians” with assaults on schools, hospitals and homes since the outbreak of the war in 2011.
Power named several Syrian Army officers in her list of military personnel responsible for attacks against civilians on Monday, including high-ranking members of the Syrian Air Force Intelligence like Adib Salameh in the Aleppo Governorate.
The U.S. Ambassador also named the popular officer, Colonel Suheil Al-Hassan, as one of the military personnel in Syria responsible for attacks on civilians.
Power’s bias is not shocking, she has constantly attacked the Syrian Government in the past, attempting to pass resolutions in the U.N. to condemn their military operations against the jihadist rebels.
Spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, has criticized Power several times for her unprofessionalism and disinformation; however, this has often been ignored by the U.S. Ambassador.
