IS blocks Turkish advance to the South. So Erdogan’s troops only way to Raqqa is via the Kurdish area. Provided the Kurds let his mercenaries pass and keep their way free of IS forces.

I don’t feel SDF allowing Erdolf pass through Rojava, although… Open them a corridor, then close it and have them stuck between SDF and IS would be interesting and absolutely nasty!

ROFL. I knew that Northern French humor is dark – sinister. But I did not expect it to be this Gothic. p.s. Mine was German – I implied the Turks need the way to Raqqa cleared by Kurdish units fighting/marching in front of them. Else they would never get there.

The Turks retreated from the roundabout? Seems to be a high-level cooperation between Syria/Russia and Turkey.
