BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:30 P.M.) – The jihadist rebels struck the large city of Masyaf in western Hama, today, hitting several sites inside this government stronghold.
According to a source in Masyaf, the jihadist attack resulted in the death of at least seven people, including two nurses.
The two nurses were killed at the Masyaf National Hospital, which was heavily targeted by the jihadist rebels in the Idlib Governorate.
The Syrian Arab Army has responded to this attack by firing several missiles across Idlib, hitting a number of towns in the eastern, southern, and western parts of the governorate.
The total number of casualties from the Syrian Army attack is still unknown at this time; however, opposition activists said one missile hit a market in Saraqib.
These tit-for-tat attacks in northwestern Syria have been ongoing for several months now, despite the implementation of the Sochi agreement, which called on all parties to adhere to avoid hostilities within the 20km long demilitarized zone.
