BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:45 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and jihadist rebels have been involved in an intense battle for the key town of Kabani for the past week now.
Led by the 4th Armored Division, the Syrian Arab Army has repeatedly stormed the jihadist positions south of Kabani, as they attempt to crack the main line of defense for the Turkestan Islamic Party and Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham.
However, the Syrian Army has been unable to reach Kabani, despite launching several large attacks on the town over the past week.
The reason for the Syrian Army’s short comings is mostly due to the resistance from the jihadist rebels. These jihadist rebels have the territorial advantage in Kabani, as they control the highest point and possess several tunnels in the area.
Below is a video from the front-lines that shows the jihadist rebels clashing with the Syrian Army near Kabani.
