(RUPTLY) On Sunday, a unit of National Defence Forces (NDF, allied to Syrian government) discovered a tunnel reportedly dug by an anti-government armed group, while digging their own tunnel in Al-Tadamon neighbourhood in southern Damascus.
Yasser, NDF unit commander, says: “The eastern division of the National Defence Forces have dug a tunnel in the Daaboul region, in the direction of Haret al-Baradi”.
“This tunnel is six metres deep, and extends for 46 metres. It intersects with the militants’ tunnel; there are photographs available.”
“So, the National Defence Forces are currently planting an entrapment with explosives in the militants’ tunnel, which is opposite to the tunnel that we have seen under the ground.”
