BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:00 P.M.) – The Israeli Air Force was allegedly behind the missile attack on a Hashd Al-Sha’abi base in the Salaheddine Governorate of Iraq, the Russian publication Avia.Pro reported on Saturday.
According to the Russian publication, the Israeli forces fired several rockets at the base, which allegedly had members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps present.
The rockets reportedly struck a weapons depot with ballistic missiles, while also killing at least a half dozen IRGC soldiers.
“In the presented video, you can see that we are talking about quite powerful blows that led to a big explosion and the subsequent fire. This strike was the first from Israel on the territory of Iraq in the past 38 years. Experts call the actions of the Israeli military an act of aggression, aimed directly against the two sovereign states,” the publication claimed.
“Israel, pointing to a supposedly existing threat from Tehran, is actively bombing Syria, Iraq and the Iranian military, interfering in the affairs of states located at a distance of several hundred kilometers ,” an expert claimed, as cited by Avia.Pro.
It still remains unknown who carried out this attack; however, the Iraqi government announced on Saturday that they were going to launch an investigation into the matter.
