DAMASCUS, SYRIA – UN released the Document a/7l/I.8 calling for the return of the Golan Heights to the Syrian state.

Israel had annexed the Syrian Golan during the infamous Six Day War of 1967 along with the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula.

Since then, Israel has ceded Sinai to the sovereign control of Egypt under a US-sponsored peace deal while the Syrian state and its Israeli counterpart failed to reach such a diplomatic breakthrough.

    • OH, they actually could, but Syrians will have to seriously reconsider their mindset about Israel before. Now, Assad is clever and will have a country to rebuild but it may also ruin his relations with Khamenei and Nasrallah but at the same time greatly improve the relations with Jordan and western countries… Now, if we consider the changes in Iranian civil society and people like Rouhani taking more and more over the mullahs (that’s why many in the west consider taking the bet of Iran as partner and show a big finger to KSA!), it may not be a so big problem in a not so long term future.
Now, if you consider where the anti-Semitic morons in the Arab League have brought to Syria since 1948, well, all Syrian leaders since should have better said fuck off and maintained peaceful and friendly relations with their southern neighbour. Just consider the shit KSA, Qatar and Turkey are doing now in Syria… Not a so good idea to follow the interests of GCC…

  1. Hey Desbads Sux, I am anticipating a long hasbara comment from your part, trying to gloss over the stealing of Syrian land by israhell, or your complete absence from this article, which is one of both ways you react when it comes to news regarding your beloved ghetto state…

    • ROFL, I’ve got a life, you know… And I already told you, I’m not in hasbara, if it was the case, I wouldn’t explain how Palestinian should do to fuck up the dirty politics Netanyahu is doing, thus, as their main driving political forces are PLO and Hamas, it’s nowhere near to happen : you can’t achieve anything positive with such idiots : they’re worse for Palestinians than Bibi! But as you don’t seem to look for non-biased OSINT on the subject, you’re nowhere near to use reason on this. I’m very far to be OK with what Israel is doing but if taking people for what they are instead of believing the propaganda of their enemies is being hasbara, OK, I am! But just loo how this propaganda is exactly of the same form anti-Assad/Putin is and… mostly comes from the same circles! Don’t you know that Mashal, the head of Hamas, isn’t living in Gaza but in Doha, Qatar???
You don’t make anything else abut Israelis than buying Muslim Brotherhood’s biases! Osama was MB b4 founding Qaeda, AKP/Erdogan are MB, Saddat’s assassins were in a MB offshoot, MB tried to kill Nasser, Huma Abedin is a MB spy, al-Jazeera is theirs too… Sorry baby, I don’t buy the salafists’ taqiyya! Not doing so allows me to understand how counteracting Netanyahu dirty politics and also to understand why the Palestinian leaders sucks and torpedoed ANY peaceful outcome with Israelis and why the Palestinian people is suffering for a century next year. Your way of thinking is doing nothing else than leading to more suffering for them and to put more oil on the fire while the contrary is necessary. Now if your goal, as I suppose it to be, is fuelled by anti-Semitism and the will to destroy the Israeli state and you still do not recognise them as a country, you’d better face reality : nonetheless, the country is here, they are a fact and moreover, they’re really strong : you can compare their military power to countries like France or UK, they even have more nukes than UK or China, according to Jimmy Carter, they even may have more than France so, like it or not, they’re nowhere near to be destroyed and if it happened so, they’d disappear at the same time the whole mid-east would be made a radioactive parking lot… The way I reflect about it has nothing to do with some alleged beloved ghetto from me, sorry, I didn’t ever laid a foot in the ME and as long there is terrorism, I don’t even consider visiting Louqsor or Gizeh although I’m a lover of Egyptian antiquity, even had lessons to understand Egyptian hieroglyphs, unfortunately, I had to stop due to outer reasons but I loved it, it was heartbreaking for me.
Now, please, gimme a break, if you still didn’t understand my POV after this, I can’t help, you should consider braincells transplant!

Now, to stick to the subect : IMHO, Netanyahu’s answer will be not even take notice about this calling. He already said giving back Golan Heights to Syria was nowhere near to happen, thus, the same thing was said about Sinai in the 70’s.
If we consider history, Golan Heights were used from 1948 to 1967 to shell daily far into Israelian territory, another point was the war on water in the 60’s :
      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_over_Water_(Jordan_river)
My analysis is that Syria could probably have Golan Heights back one of these days but a peace treaty will have to be enforced. As long as Syria will maintain a legal state of war against Israel, Golan Heights will not be given back for sure. Thus, as this area is considered annexed by them, even in case of peace treaty and according to how it was used as a platform to attack them for 19 years, it’s not even sure they’d accept having the GH in a peace treaty package at least, as long the right wing will lead Israel and as long there will be Arab aggressivity in support of Hamas or Persian proxy-aggressivity (through Hizbullah), right wingers are nowhere near to go… The little game they played by hijacking the UNESCO for political purposes wasn’t a good idea at all : Arabs by doing so only push up guys like Netanyahu that will take it as a good excuse to act without any concession to Arabs… But in a way, according to, except Jordan and Egypt, other Arabs go on favouring anti-Israelian hatred, they can be sure that Bibi will still be here showing them the finger for a long time if it ends not with people less into accepting talks than him, i.e. the infamous far right Jewish Home party, those who’d be pleased to make all Arab’s bias and propaganda about Israel come true… Kinda guys to think, even if they don’t say it publicly : “well, they make us look like mofos genociding Palestinians, well, if we really genocide them, what they say won’t change but at least, there will not be a Palestinian problem as all would be dead”.
If the JH ended to take over Likud, the PLO logo would become true but not as a Palestinian state map, just as Israel’s map.

  2. The U.N. wants Isreal to give up the source of 75% of it’s water source to ISIL? Yeah, that will work. The U.N. Is a disgrace that should be disbanded and leave for it’s real place on the planet, the Middle East. I have never seen a more useless organization seeking an importance in should never be given.
