ALEPPO, SYRIA (11:35 P.M.) – A United Nations Syrian Red Crescent Society humanitarian aid convoy was reportedly attacked by several aircraft in the northern region of Aleppo on Monday.

According to local activists in Aleppo, the 25 truck humanitarian aid convoy was traveling through the town ‘Urum Al-Kubrah, when it was struck by either Syrian or Russian jets on Monday night.

The local activists claimed it was Russian jets that carried out the airstrikes; however, it could not be confirmed at the moment.

The death toll from these airstrikes is also unknown, but local activists claim that the head of the Syrian Red Crescent Society was among the many casualties.

This large convoy was reportedly traveling from Turkey before they encountered several jets in northwestern Aleppo.

After verification, the convoy was made up Syrian Red Crescent Society vehicles, not U.N. agencies.

U.S Evil ploy at its worst ! After Deir Ezzor massacre, US flew one of their Italy based P-8 Signal/Electronic Intelligence Spy Plane over Tartus and Hmeimim to probe Russian detection/track signal coverage and map their frequency spectrum. The goal is intercepting radars and learning their locations and operating procedures. This usually precede any aerial stealth mission so the attacking forces may be able to avoid the coverage of certain radars, or, knowing their characteristics, electronic warfare units may jam radars or send them deceptive signals. The rest of history is obvious: A single or a couple of undetected F-22… Read more »

Air defense will be coordinated by a unified Aleppo command comprised by pro democracy and neutral groups committed to establishing and defending Aleppo as a neutral humanitarian aid safe area. My vote is that the FSA take primary responsibility for the defense of Aleppo, integrating any other neutral or pro democracy groups or contingents who are willing to commit to the unified objective in Aleppo, coordinated by a unified command, establishing and defending Aleppo as a… Read more »
