El Ejército Árabe Sirio (EAS) reanudó su ofensiva en el campo occidental de al-Raqa, el sábado, dirigiéndose a una serie de aldeas y cerros situados directamente al oeste de los campos de petróleo Thawrah y Sufyan.

Llevados por Fuerzas del Tigre, el Ejército Árabe Sirio avanzó al oeste de los campos petrolíferos de Sufyan hacia varias aldeas a lo largo de la carretera de Salamiyah-Raqa.

El asalto del Ejército sirio resultó eficiente, ya que sus fuerzas liberaron los siguientes sitios:

Rajm Al-Hawrah
Akho Hadlah
Hajj Mafdi
Bir Al-‘Adad
Bir Abu Al-Sinabil
Bir Al-‘Amalah

Bir Al-Ja’ef
Bir Moussa Al-Mohandes
Bir Abu Hamat

El Ejército Árabe Sirio se está expandiendo actualmente hacia el oeste, hacia el bolsillo de Khanasser controlado por el Estado Islámico para asegurar su única ruta de suministro a la gobernación de Alepo.
