British politicians mulls to send police officers after three British students left reportedly to cross into Syria to join takfiri groups.
The chairman of U.K.’s Home Affairs Select Committee said Britain should be out there to help Turkey to prevent foreigners crossing into Syria to join terrorist groups.
Surveillance video acquired by Istanbul police showed the trio at a major bus station in the city on Feb. 17. A British police team arrived in Turkey on Feb. 23 to assist investigations into the missing girls.
Committee chairman Keith Vaz said that “it is not the job of Turkish police and Turkish authorities to chase our citizens and this all has to be done with cooperation,” The Anadolu Agency reported.
Vaz added British police officers should be out there doing this and that Britain should be doing more to help.
