Sana’a, Yemen (11:48 P.M) – The Houthi-allied Yemeni Republican Guard were able to destroy an Emirati Navy HSV-2 Swift ship near the port city of Mokha with a C802 Cruise Missile.

The Saudi-led coalition condemned the event blasting the Houthis for allegedly destroying a ship carrying humanitarian cargo.

However, the allegation is borderline comical since the warship took off from Aden and was located in the vicinity of the embattled port city of Mokha, a front of incessant violent clashes.

Initially, state-owned UAE media denied the claim and mentioned that a humanitarian ship was merely damaged due to technical difficulty while all those aboard it were rescued until video footage was published by Yemeni sources portraying the fried, sinking ship.

How many “white helmets” were drowned on “humanitarian” HSV-2?

If the Houthis can sink a modern U$ made warship with their old missiles, the U$ Carrier Fleet should take heed and stay back in their home ports 🙂

Good shot by the way chaps. Well done.
Perhaps the Saudi oil export terminals would be a good target as it would inflate the oil price .

Florian : it’s wasn’t a warship : it was a civilian ferry which was bought 2nd hand for 25M$ then used by USMS, there just fitted an helipad and a system to launch and recover drones, then 4*.50 machine-guns. Look what happens to a missile attacking a real warship :

OPEC, althugh they decided cuts in oil production, are not likely to inflate oil prices : Iran will maintain them low to ruin their economy and anyway, there are shale gas reserves to be fracked everywhere… The time arabs had the world by the ball is ending.

Israel has already fielded their Iron Beam system as it’s much cheaper to use than Iron Dome against all the Hamas is sending daily against their territory…

One missile one ship. Good for Yemeni people, bad for UAE warship. Middles are cheaper than the ship and it won’t be in the UAE’s best interest to send any more warships to Yemen. Good hunting.

Still an easy prey : no water-tight compartments, no defences : any serious warship would have had at-least 1 or 2 CIWS or some ManPADS on a turret (or combination of both) for close range anti-missile purposes… CIWS can be bolted on the bridge of ANY ship without mods, you simply must be stupid to operate such kind of ship in a war zone like Yemen, knowing Yemeni army has huge missile stockpiles and they already have sunk 2 saudi ships…

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HSV-2_Swift Not really a warship : formerly used by USMS, she was a civilian ship with military enhancements like helipad, drone launching/recovery systems, mine-search systems and mostly used for fastly moving troops and gear as she could speed @45knots. It also served as a sea-base for Navy-Seals while in USMS use. As a logistic vessel, she hadn’t water-tight compartments so sunk easily and no real armaments although 4 .50 machine-guns were mounted… Yemeni forces already sun two saudi vessels in 2015. Nevertheless, it proves again how incompetent saudis and their allies are : would they be so and knowing Yemeni… Read more »

“no real armaments although 4 .50 machine-guns were mounted…” : I Disagree, the missile clearly hit and cook-off something with heavy ammunition stored inside (not just .50 cal)… It could be that the ship was transporting explosive shells, bombs, missiles…
“Nevertheless, it proves again how incompetent saudis and their allies are” : Totally agree, a waste of state of the art modern human designed technology in the hands of towelheads goat fuckers camel p**s drinkers.

Did not see any stored ammunition or weapons stores cooking off after the initial hit. That lends credence to the claim that the vessel was not there for offensive purposes. Even if it was not, it was silly to just park a government vessel right off the coast of a warring nation.
