BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:30 P.M.) – Over 250 Houthi fighters were killed in the past week by the Gulf-backed troops in western Yemen, the Yemeni Army claimed this morning.
Among the 250+ Houthi fighters killed were nearly 20 field commanders, the Yemeni Army continued.
“The forces detained during the battles no less than 143 members of the Houthi militia,” they added.
Furthermore, the Yemeni Army claimed their troops seized more ground from the Houthi forces, despite contrasting reports from the latter.
The UAE-backed troops are currently trying to advance to the provincial capital of Hodeideh, which is also the last port under the control of the Houthi forces.
