BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:50 A.M.) – At least two Syrian Arab Army (SAA) soldiers were killed and over 15 others were wounded after a U.S. warplane attacked their positions near the Al-Tanf Crossing in southeast Homs, Sputnik News reported yesterday.
“Two soldiers of the Syrian army were killed, more than 15 were injured as a result of US air strikes in the Syrian desert,” Sputnik News reported, citing an unnamed source.
The Pentagon alleges the U.S. Coalition carried out the airstrike after they sent a warning to the Syrian Army personnel to halt their advance against the Free Syrian Army (FSA) near the Iraqi border.
Tuesday’s aggression by the U.S. Coalition marks the second time in three weeks that their warplanes have targeted the Syrian Armed Forces near Al-Tanf.
