In addition to the arrival of these warships, two Russian heavy transport aircraft have also begun transporting equipment to Syria’s Hmeimim Airport.
According to a report, the Russian heavy transport aircraft, the IL-76 and AN-124, have reportedly made 14 flights from Russia to the Hmeimim Airport in the last three weeks.
These aircraft reportedly transported a large quantity of equipment to the Syrian military, who is currently involved in a fierce battle in northwestern Syria.
This equipment should give the Syrian Arab Army a major boost as they attempt to push into the jihadist-held areas in Idlib, Hama, and Latakia.
