BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:45 A.M.) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Friday evening that their troops had captured two American Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) terrorists in eastern Syria this week.

The SDF’s official media wing said in their statement that the two Americans were captured while their troops were attacking the Islamic State’s positions east of the Euphrates.

The identities of the Americans was previously released earlier this week when NBC interviewed one of the fighters.

With their recent string of losses east of the Euphrates, the Islamic State finds their once massive presence in eastern Syria quickly dwindling to a small portion of the Badiya Al-Sham region of eastern Homs and western Deir Ezzor.

Zarqawi (ISIS founder) hid in Iran before being smuggled into Iraq by IRGC… Moreover, ISIS mered wth Iraqi Ba’athists! Take a look at their commanders in 2013-2014 : near only former high ranking Saddam’s militaries! And IS was allied with general al-Douri’s private army until just after the fall of Mosul! Note that al-Douri is still on US wanted-list, although it’ not clear if he’s still alive. According to Saddam’s daughter, he died in 2018. Nevertheless, aftr the fall of Mosul, he really turned his back on IS. You forgot to do your homework : al-Douri would NEVER have teamed… Read more »
