Two large explosions ripped through the densely populated Sayyida Zeinab District of southern Damascus this morning.
The first attack was reported after a terrorist detonated his car bomb near the Al-Husseiniyah barrier in a crowded part of the Sayyida Zeinab District; 7 civilians were reportedly killed.
Following the suicide attack, another explosion was reported along Al-Teen Street when another car bomb was detonated near a local market.
The attacks today mark the third time this year that the Sayyida Zeinab District has been the target of a terrorist attack.
In a statement published خn its official media account, Aamaq Agency, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) claimed responsibility for the bloody attack.
