BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:50 P.M.) – Two Turkish warplanes were spotted flying over the southern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate earlier today, a new report read.

According to the report, the two Turkish warplanes were escorting a military convoy that entered northwestern Syria earlier in the day.

Once the Turkish military reached the southern Aleppo town of Tal Al-‘Eis, the two warplanes returned to their country’s airspace in order to avoid any potential conflict with the Syrian Armed Forces.

The Turkish military has recently increased its presence in northwestern Syria, sending a number of reinforcements to their observation posts in the Aleppo, Idlib, and Hama governorates.
