BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:10 A.M.) – The Turkish Armed Forces came under attack this evening when the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) fired several artillery shells towards the militants in northern Hama.
According to opposition activists on social media, the Syrian Army fired several artillery shells towards the town of Morek, which is where the Turkish military has one of their largest observation posts in the northern countryside of the Hama Governorate.
A source in the area said these reports are not yet confirmed. He said the Syrian Army did target the Morek area, but there is still no confirmation that they hit the Turkish observation post.
The Syrian Army is currently trying to fend off a large-scale jihadist offensive that has targeted a number of towns located northwest of Mhardeh.
