BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:00 P.M.) – A convoy of Turkish military equipment arrived at the Fevzipasa train station, in Gaziantep Province, as Turkey continues to send reinforcements to its Syrian border, as footage filmed on Saturday shows.

The convoy supposedly took off from Kocaeli Province and made its way to the Syrian border this week.

The deployments take place despite Ankara’s plan to delay a previously announced military operation, which was to target the US-backed Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) militia in north-eastern Syria.

In late November, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that his nation’s armed forces would be launching a large-scale offensive to clear the eastern region of the Euphrates River Valley.

Since his announcement, the Turkish military has been amassing troops across Syria, while also redeploying their rebel allies to the YPG-held areas inside the country.
