According to the pro-opposition page Halab Today, the Turkish military is conducting live training drills involving helicopter air landings as they prepare for their eastern Euphrates offensive against the Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG).

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has repeatedly stated that his armed forces are going to expel the Kurdish-led troops from northern Syria.
However, despite his repeated statements, Erodgan will have to deal with the U.S. Coalition, who is deeply embedded with the Kurdish forces in northern syria.
Should Washington choose to leave their forces in Syria, this could cause a major rift between the U.S. and Turkey.
With tensions already mounting from Ankara’s S-400 deal with Russia, a potential Turkish military operation could lead to a severe issue with the U.S.
