BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:20 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Turkish military traded blows in the northwestern countryside of the Hama Governorate on Friday morning, a field report from this front read.
According to the report, the Turkish Armed Forces fired more than 15 artillery shells towards the Syrian Arab Army’s checkpoints in northwestern Hama.
The Syrian Army responded by firing a number of artillery shells towards the Turkish observation post near the small town of Sheir Magher in northwestern Hama.
No casualties were reported by either side.
This hostile exchange comes just hours after reports surfaced that Turkey had summoned a Russian military attache over the Syrian Army’s attack on the Turkish observation post in Sheir Magher.
This attack on the Turkish observation post resulted in the death of one soldier and the hospitalization of two other military personnel.
