BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:20 P.M.) – The Turkish Armed Forces carried out several attacks inside the Afrin region of Aleppo on Monday, targeting a number of sites currently under the control of the Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG).
In particular, Turkish artillery units relentlessly targeted Afrin city, inflicting heavy damage on residential buildings.
According to pro-YPG activists, the Turkish artillery strikes hit crowded streets in the city-center of Afrin, marking the first time since their invasion that they have targeted this area.
Syria’s Al-Ikhbariya TV reported that at least three civilians were killed and five more were wounded as a result of this attack.
