BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:40 P.M) – The Turkish Armed Forces reportedly carried out a security operation against the Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) in the northern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate on Tuesday.

According to the Turkish Ministry of Defense, their armed forces targeted the YPG units near the town of Tal Rifa’at on Tuesday, ‘neutralizing’ ten members of the Kurdish group.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense said the operation was carried out in retaliation for the YPG attack on their forces in the Afrin region on Sunday.

The YPG attack in the Afrin region on Sunday resulted in the death of one Turkish Army soldier and the hospitalization of several members of the Free Syrian Army (FSA).

Checked on pro SDF media and found mentioning of some shells being fired towards Tell Rifaat, causing one civillian to be killed and three wounded. Another example of both Turkish propaganda efforts and of murder of civilians.
