BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:40 P.M.) – Turkey is working with the U.S. to get the Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) to withdraw from the key town of Manbij in northeastern Syria, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu stated on Friday.

“If the [determined] plan is actualized, the YPG terror group will withdraw from Manbij,” Çavuşoğlu stated.

Cavusoglu’s comments came shortly after he met with the new U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Brussels.

The YPG has controlled Manbij since 2016 when they expelled the Islamic State (ISIS) from the town.

  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.

Obviously being Turkish, the Turkish FM is an unmitigated liar.
