BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:00 P.M.) – The Turkish-backed National Liberation Front (NLF) carried out a new attack against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the northern countryside of the Latakia Governorate.

According to a report from the Latakia Governorate, the National Liberation Front infiltrated the military’s lines near the hilltop of Tal Abu As’ad, resulting in heavy losses for the Syrian Arab Army and National Defense Forces (NDF).

The report said over ten Syrian Army and NDF soldiers were killed at Tal Abu As’ad before the Turkish-backed rebels withdrew from the area to friendly lines.

Typically, it is the jihadists of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and the Turkestan Islamic Party that carry out these attacks in the Turkman and Al-Akrad mountains; however, several of their terrorists have been recently redeployed to the Hama front.

Since April approx over 800 Assadis have been died withou making any change or Significant achievemnents. A big portion of Assad had already died in non stop war . Another big portion of Assadis defected and formed FSA . Theres no Syrian Army left . Assad depends on Iranian and other foriegn militis which have no experience or match against the well experienced and motivated forces of The Islamic state & other groups… Read more »

he jihadists kill Syrian soldiers like ordinary chickens. They do what they want, when they want. It will one day recognize that the Islamists are much better soldiers than the Syrian soldiers. Supported by the Syrian aviation and Russian aviation, they have nevertheless echoed in their latest offensives all failed (Jibeen, Tell Meleh and Kobani). Without these two flights, the Syrian army would have been swept away. Meanwhile the Islamists are enjoying themselves in northern Latakia and ISIS continue to massacre Syrian convoys in western Syria. The Israelis are bombarding the country quietly. The Syrian army does not use the… Read more »

This isnt new along the Syrian war!…SAA/NDF conscript soldiers always have been a bad army with bad tactics and worst commanders and officers!…only Tiger Forces and RG Druze brigade of Gen Isam Zahredine(RIP) are a reliable force..the others totally useless for combat!. it is like Irak…remember when the army fled from Mosul and others cities…only small elite gold brigade was able to combat!..therefore they needed Shia PMU forces and IRGC to defeat ISIS…

I agree with you. General Issam Zahreddine (RIP) is a terrible miss for the Syrian army. Let’s not forget the Hezbollah fighters who were decisive for the first big victories against the Islamists. Indeed, there is a real problem of command. I am afraid, unfortunately, that the best Syrian soldiers have already given their lives for their country.

Hezbollocks has pulled out : they’re bankrupt.
And were absolutely irrelevant, so was it for IRGC : without the Russian Intervention, the country would have felt to the cockroaches.
Thus, Hezb+IRGC are also jihadist…
May all jihadist inflict terrible losses to the other side : once well weakened, it’ll be easier to do pest control with such remainders in small numbers.

Just based on one of event you cannot generalize this. Last year Syrian Arab Army defeated almost all the terrorists in Syria and green bused them all to Hama & idlib. They could have eliminated them all but they didnt do it as most of the surrendered terrorists had their women & children and they surrendered all their heavy weapons & just left with light assault rifles. Russians helping with Airforce is a necessary because of the huge front the Shitlamic Jihadis have in Alleppo, Hama, Idlib, Jarabulus, Latakia etc. Gulf monarchs along with Turki are trying to establish their… Read more »

The green bus thing may have been frustrating, but it was the best way to spare SAA many casualties in urban warfare while avoiding to destroy cities as much as possible an relieving the enormous pressure of having to fight on… I think there was an era when SAA had to deal with about 7 fronts at once! +++ “because of the huge front the Shitlamic Jihadis have in Alleppo, Hama, Idlib, Jarabulus, Latakia etc.” >>> It’s hopefully no more what it was in 2014-2015 : situation was really dreadful. Even Israelis considered providing air support to SAA (YUP! It… Read more »

I agree Urban warfare would mean a colossal loss of soldiers in close quarter combat with no clear sight of enemy and a lot of hit & run suicide bombing etc. Now with the battle lines drawn and far away it is the real fire power of artillery fighter jets, long range ground to ground missiles, tanks which will be the deciders. Iran & Saudi both are keeping on feeding to the monsters they both have created and it is really hungry for blood every day and more and more. After watching all the recent war videos and the death… Read more »
