Over 20 Turkish airstrikes with artillery fire have targeted Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) positions around Janderes and Afrin.
This follows on from Turkish penetration into Idlib province where it razed farms and olives groves.
This was reportedly to prepare for a ground assault on Afrin canton.

Turkey have made no formal announcement that its Euphrates Shirld operation will include Afrin canton.
The SDF are primarily made up of the Kurdish YPG in which Ankara recognizes as a terrorist group.
