BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:05 A.M.) – The Turkish Army and jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham reportedly clashed near the Syrian-Turkish border, Friday, after the former attempted to cross into the Idlib Governorate.

According to opposition activists, the Turkish Army and HTS militants clashed at the small town of Hadad, where the latter decided to hold their ground against the better equipped forces from Ankara.

No further details were released.

Tensions between the Turkish military and HTS militants have been at an all-time high after the former made an agreement with the Russian government to combat terrorist forces inside Syria.
