BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:45 P.M.) – The Turkish Army carried out a new attack in the northern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate, today, targeting Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) positions near the city of Azaz.

According to reports from Aleppo city, the Turkish Army heavily shelled the YPG’s positions in response to the latter’s attack that killed one soldier and wounded three others at the Turkish military base west of Azaz city.

No casualties were reported by either side.

The Turkish military and YPG have been trading attacks in the northern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate as the situation continues to deteriorate near the border.
