BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:40 P.M.) – The Turkish Army carried out a heavy attack on Tuesday against the Kurdish-led forces in northern Syria.
According to opposition activists, the Turkish Army attack resulted in the death of five fighters from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
This attack was allegedly carried out on several SDF points near the key border city of Ras Al-Ayn in the northwestern countryside of the Al-Hasakah Governorate.
The Turkish Army attack was reportedly carried out in response to a rocket that was fired from the Ras Al-Ayn area into southern Turkey.
The Turkish Ministry of Defense said they managed to destroy seven sites belonging to the People’s Protection Units (YPG) in northern Syria.
