BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:55 P.M.) – Over the last 24 hours, the Turkish Air Force reportedly killed at least 48 Islamic State terrorists in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, the Turkish General Staff stated on Monday.
The Turkish Air Force reportedly hit 23 Islamic State targets in eastern Aleppo, including 10 of the terrorist group’s defensive installations, 3 headquarters, and 10 shelters in the villages of Bzagah, Suflaniyah, Zammar, and Amiyah, Turkish state media claimed on Monday.
“Free Syrian Army (FSA) special task forces with Turkish army support hit 246 Daesh targets in the last 24 hours destroying shelters, defensive positions, command and control facilities and cars used by Daesh terrorists,” Anadolu News Agency added.
The Turkish Army’s “Euphrates Shield” operation has been recently forestalled by the Islamic State militants, forcing them to take to intensify their airstrikes in order to weaken the terrorist group’s resolve.
