Although the Turkish military has the right to be in Syria according to a 1998 treaty, their activity should not “lead to the emergence of any quasi-autonomous territorial entities and threaten Syria’s territorial integrity,” Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Sunday.

Turkish troops have been operating in the north of the country since 2016, fighting ISIS and the US-backed Kurdish YPG, who they consider terrorists.

Ankara is allowed to conduct near-border operations in Syria, according to the 1998 Adana agreement, against the PKK, a Kurdish organization deemed terrorist by Turkey.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday he expects to establish a 20-mile-deep safe zone in Syria along the border in a few months as the US pulls its troops out of the conflict-torn country, AFP reports.

This is a clear njet to the Sultan’s plan to create an autonomous safe Zone in Syria to host his Jihadist ghazi.

Except that as Adolf, Sultan Erdolf has borrowed gigantic money he can’t repay, so he needs to seize territory able to get him huge money, oil, nat-gas, uranium, diamonds or whatever… If the 2 Juan-Carlos-class LHD he ordered from Navantia were already available, he could consider Somalia but he’s short of options and time.

@Daeshbags-Sux, the Sultan sure plans to invest big in his fleet that will claim the gas fields that “belong” to the Turkish people and are located in Cypriote and Greek waters.

The Navantia-Sedef consortium plans the cost of the LHD (multipurpose amphibious assault ship and light aircraft carrier) close to 1 bln $.

So… either it’s Syria, Iraq or Iran… Syria is not on a good way, hey, it’s Russia’s turf. Iraq is compromised too : Iraqi govt made itself too much friends, it goes the same for Kurds while Turkey’s position towards EU and NATO is compromised.

Seizing the Levantine gas basin? There is already a Greece/Cyprus/Egypt/Israel military alliance to protect it, moreover, Greece and Cyprus are in the EU which constitution has mutual defence provision patterned on NATO charter.

And with the drill from a few years ago where by simulating an attack on Israel, US-Navy ‘lost” 220 aircraft and near 2 carrier-fleets to 20 IDF F-16 lost, better think twice before engaging in a classic war on Israel :

They didn’t started a single one but their response always had the same characteristics : fast, extremely violent and hitting where it really hurts.

Greece is seen as having the best pilots in NATO and Mirage-2000 is a F-16 eater, ask the Pakis about it. Even F-22 had problems with them at Red-Flag.
Egypt has a powerful army and Rafales are S300/S400-proof

So Levantine as basin is also no option.
In fact, the only option left for the Sultan is… Iran!
Weak and outdated militaries with low budget, no country will side with the mullahs…/…

And maybe Erdog can make a deal with Putin, cutting the country in two parts, Russia would so come to “rescue” making the remaining area their bïtch.

Note that if Putin removes the regime, this will make many very happy, including the population and the Yanks.
Thus, this would also empower Erdolf and boost his megalomania.

But here comes the UNSC intimating Turkey the order to withdraw. Due to economics, either the Sultan complies and economy collapses or he bets UNSC won’t take action, just like Saddam thought it’d happen with Kuwait…

But since Erdogan is now seen as even a biggest issue for the region than Iran and he managed to upset everybody…

This is purely prospective from me but politics is the art of possible and actually, Iran is the easiest game Erdolf can go after, moreover, being one of the main terrorism powerhouses, …/…

a serious false-flag terror attack to be charged on Quds-Force or Hezb can be an effective excuse for an invasion…
Remember : in the last 200 years, ALL wars were only about economics…

@Daeshbags-Sux, the Iraqi dictator also went for Iran.

Wasn’t that You that claimed Iran had a hidden big budget. Anyway Iran is not as surrounded by problems as the Sultan who is at odds with all neighbors.

@Daeshbags-Sux, currently the Sultan does not have SS300/SS400 or good pilots (due to his purges) but the Greeks have.

@Daeshbags-Sux, yes IDF are a hard nut plus the Greeks have the Islands which are less sinkable that the Sultan’s LHD.

@Daeshbags-Sux, does the Sultan know that he cannot kick the French and Italian contractors of Cyprus in Levant basin?

He has been violation from the get go based upon his country’ support of terrorists. Turkey ministers are up to their eyeballs in crimes against Syrian State and Syrian civilians. Too numerous to mention but many leaked documents and audiotapes incriminate them. The other wing of the Vulture,Turkey, will face Gods judgement for their crimes, either in this world or the next. God heal survivors of all crimes and bring your spirit of peace to Syria. May all discover Jesus Christ the Prince of peace, which every knee shall bow and every tongue confess.

Parece que muy pronto el norte de Siria se convertirá en especie Altos de Golán pero bajo dominio Turco.
Lamentablemente Rusia tiene responsabilidad de la invasión Turca.
