BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:20 A.M.) – The Turkish regime issued a statement on Saturday morning that applauded the U.S. coalition’s attack on the Syrian government.

“We welcome this operation which has eased humanity’s conscience in the face of the attack in Douma, largely suspected to have been carried out by the regime,” the Turkish foreign ministry said in a statement, as quoted by Hurriyet Daily News.

Despite their close ties with Russia, Turkey has been one of the biggest opponents of the Syrian government since the start of this seven year conflict in Syria.

“The Syrian regime, which has been tyrannising its own people for more than seven years, be it with conventional or chemical weapons, has a proven track record of crimes against humanity and war crimes,” the ministry continued.

“The conscience of the international community is in no doubt about that,” the statement added.

They know the US isn’t their friend. The USA do not give a $hite about the Turks. The same as any other EU nation. Turks do not belong to Europe. It has always been like that. They are a NATO member because the USA needs them to confront Russia. If Turkey was little more towards south east they would have copped what Syria and Iraq are getting now. Having said this, Turkey knows they had to say this. They are playing both sides but are at this point closer to Russians.

Putin, he’s either in on the game or he’s being played to the limit. Even Iran, is no better. Always “we will give a crushing response”….yeah yeah yeah, but you deal with Boeing to buy their planes instead of buying Russian or Chinese ones to give an example. What a world of hypocrites without any real men left, at least in the governing circles!

The ties with Russia are not ”close” , but merely opportunistic. Turkey is using the Russia ties to extort concessions from the US. In the issue of Crimea e.g. Turkey has a pro Ukronazi stance.

The only close tie Turkey has is with the sewers of history, as it always been since the Hittites.
